My co-worker came in the other day with her 6-month old baby girl. Of course this meant everyone bringing out the cameras. Here’s my contribution.
Surprisingly this was all office-lighting, ugly flourescent lights directly overhead. By getting above her and catching her when she raised her head I was able to get a more flattering light on her face and some nice catchlights in her eyes. Also, through the magic of The Fantastic Plastic Nifty 50 (the 50mm f1.4 lens) shooting wide open at f1.4 gives you a nicely blurred background to really isolate the subject.
