This week has been quite difficult for me personally. A friend of ours who 2 weeks ago joined us with a group of other friends in Ocean Shores passed away. I’ve lived a very fortunate life that this is the first friend my age who I’ve lost. His name was Ryan “Eggy” Egdeman, and while I didn’t know him as well as I would have liked, he was an exceptionally caring, fun, and light-hearted individual, and his death has greatly saddened me. I wanted to do a self-portrait that reflected some of that.
